Procedure:
Collection: You will need to collect all urine produced in a 24-hour period. Here’s how it typically works:
- On the first day, discard the first morning urine and record the time.
- Collect all urine for the next 24 hours in a special container provided by the lab.
- Store the container in a cool place (usually refrigerated).
- Return the container to the lab at the end of the 24-hour period.
Analysis: The urine sample is then analyzed to determine the amount of albumin.
